| Abstract | This paper discusses the means by which teachers will be able to produce English language tests which contain differing test types for students of differing ability levels through open access to TeleNex Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) network out of the University of Hong Kong, a database of various sub-test types. This CMC network aims to provide English language teachers in Hong Kong secondary schools with professional help and input via computer to their teaching, as well as supporting them by means of a number of databases. After an initial technical description of the system, the paper proceeds to demonstrate how the program functions, and then elaborates some of the technical difficulties which have to be surmounted in order to produce texts which have a polished appearance. |
