| Abstract | Communications services in Shandong have been developing at a very fast rate as exemplified by the growth in telephone exchange capacity. It is planned that by the end of the 9th Five-Year-Plan, all the cities and towns in the Shandong Province will be served by cellular networks for mobile phone service and packet-switched and DDN networks for data communication, and roaming mobile service will extend to the national scale. New value-added services will be actively promoted, and the three important technical supporting systems of 7 ccs signalling, synchronous digital transmission, and centralized network management will be implemented; while effort will be made for the realization of ISDN to transmit information in multiple form. |
