| Abstract | July 19, 1996 happens to be the second anniversary of UNICOM. GSM system of UNICOM have been operational in 13 cities including Fuzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Xi'an. It is expected that UNICOM will put into operation 500,000 lines of GSM equipment in 28 cities by October 1996 and one million lines in 48 cities by the end of 1996. |
