| Abstract | The data transmission systems for flood control are real-time computer communication systems with radio connection to collect and process information about precipitation and flood conditions in river valleys and areas near reservoirs, for predicting rise in water level, flow rate, control of dam outlet, and to generally improve the efficiency in water conservancy and hydraulic power generation. The present data transmission systems and the prospect of the development in the period till 2000 are discussed in this article. |
