| Abstract | Construction of optical transmission system for the Beijing satellite earth station of the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television (MRFT) was completed. The transmission system was built by using existing power transmission lines. It represents a successful attempt to use power transmission lines for the construction of optic-fiber network so that telecom resources enjoyed by power industry can be used for the benefit of the public and telecom industry. |
