| Abstract | On account of limited resources, full computerization of the education services in Hong Kong is yet to be achieved. To meet the changes of time, the Education Department (ED) has all along been negotiating with the Government for necessary resources to implement a schools computerization project. According to schedule, the ED, with the assistance of Information Technology Services Department (ITSD), will set up a networked computer system for all public sector schools in Hong Kong before 1997. This is a large scale computerization project and the School Administration and Management System (SAMS), being one of the component projects, will provide schools with the computer hardwares and twelve tailor-made software applications to meet their administrative and management needs. |
