| Abstract | Traditionally, Chinese gardens are designed to serve as places for poets' gatherings, operas and feasts. The related buildings and structures are regarded as temporary residents and studies. Therefore, the design of gardens took on a more relaxed attitude when compared with the design of houses. Since the Imperial Garden also served as a secondary Imperial Court, special care had been taken to check its Feng Shui inclinations during its design stage. This article looks at how Feng Shui affects the structure of Imperial Garden. |
