| Abstract | The Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance mainly aims to control the publication and display of indecent and obscene articles in newspapers, magazines, comic books and other publications as well as CD-ROMs and video tapes that have not been censored under the Film Censorship Ordinance. Besides scanning dozens of newspapers, magazines and comic books to see if they contain an indecent or obscene article, the staff of Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority also visit book shops, newspaper stalls, video shops and computer shops to see if there are any public displays or unlawful publication of obscene or indecent articles. |
