| Abstract | To reduce costs of watch manufacturers and exporters in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in Guangdong Province, China, the Shenzhen Import and Export Commodity Inspection Bureau (SIECIB) in Shenzhen has reduced the standard inspection fee, which is 0.25 percent of the value of watches to be exported, by 50 percent, a spokesman at the Shenzhen Watchmakers Association, said. The main objective of the regulations of commodity inspection is to maintain Shenzhen's reputation as a manufacturing base for high quality exports and encourage manufacturers in Shenzhen to adopt the ISO9000 system. |
