| Abstract | The Monument for 1997 Hong Kong Competition is a one-stage international ideas competition organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) and is open to all architects and students of architecture. The objectives of the competition are firstly to explore the possibility of a new architectural language and expression that engages the public realm, and secondly to heighten the international architectural community's awareness of Hong Kong in 1997. |
