| Abstract | Renato Ruggiero, Director-General of the Wolrd Trade Organization,visited Hong Kong last February believes the Organization had established "the right procedures to take account of problems which certainly exist and will continue to exist". In fact many problems have emerged, and consequently those developing countries that export textiles and clothing to the industrialised world have all expressed seriuos doubts about some of the importing countries' sincerity in implementing the Uruguay Round Trade Agreement in general and the Agreement on Textiles & Clothing in particular. |
