| Abstract | For six months to June the chain store clothing retailer Giordano International reports attributable profit less than 1% up at HK$110.9 million, and operating profit 6.4% down at $123.4% million, on retail sales for the group 2% down at 1.48% billion. To maintain its revenue position the group was determined not to lower prices. It would expand through joint ventures in most of its markets, to make maximum use of its local partners' knowledge, and not just "export blindly". |
