| Abstract | Despite a government decision to control and centralise exports of cashmere materials, trading enterprises in many regions are still exporting this precious material at low prices. The China National Trade Council statistics show that of a total world production of less than 10,000 tonnes, China supplies over 5,000 tonnes. Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang are the two main producing regions. |
