| Abstract | In a new move to increase cotton production, the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China is offering 7 billion Yuan worth of loans. The cotton growers have suffered from a falling market for the past year. Cash-strapped state firms have been unable to buy their produce, and the wealthier textile companies are opting for imported cotton, which is said to be cheaper and better. |
