| Abstract | Based on the novel of the same name by American-Chinese author Han Suyin (Rosalie Chou) 'Love is a Many-Splendored Thing' was released in 1955. It was a blockbuster about romance, love, cross-cultural relationships, war, tragedy and change. A tragic love story between a handsome American newspaper correspondent en route to the Korean War and an "Eurasian" doctor, who is also a pretty young widowand mother arriving from China. An exhibition about the film is to be held on 4 August 1996 by the Fringe Club. |
