| Abstract | The implication of Final Certificate under the conditions of the JCT 80 Standard Form of Building Contract (JCT 80) was radically re-assessed by the English Court of Appeal in a case. Many commentaries on the subject have been published on varies professional journals. The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Standard Form of Building Contract - 2nd Edition 1970 (HKIA Standard Form) is largely based on the outdated JCT 1963 version. In this article, the author comments and makes observations on the decided case with reference to HKIA Standard Form conditions. |
