AbstractTaiwan and the United States initialled at Washington on 7 December 1995 a memorandum of understanding on extending the existing textile trade agreement between the two countries for another two years. The two sides agreed to amend the accord with only minor amendments designed more effectively to prevent illegal shipment of Taiwan-made textiles to the United States through the use of quotas for a third country or area.
