| Abstract | From 1989 to 1993, with the cashmere market so active all kinds of government departments not previously engaged in foreign trade entered the field. Even individual vendors became cashmere traders. But when the market turned down, all the newcomers looked elsewhere, leaving only the specialists to handle the trade. This situation scared many foreign buyers away and disrupted even the international market for cashmere. |
