| Abstract | This article reports on an exclusive interview of Renato Ruggiero, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). On China's re-entry into WTO, Ruggiero stated that it was a question of negotiations between China and the other parties on points of "real business", not of abstract political principles. But he could not say how long it would take to bring China back into the world trade body, nor did he think that the China issue would have any impact on other accession negotiations. |
