| Abstract | The Second International Science Study, undertaken by some 25 countries around the world, provided an opportunity to consider science curricula and factors associated with achievement at three age levels, namely 10 years olds, 14 year olds and pre-University. This very short initial report looks at Hong Kong achievement results and compares them with other countries in the study, and discusses results with respect to the amount of class time devoted to teaching science subjects. |
