Abstract | Global landmark architectural projects such as the Sydney Opera House, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, The HongkongBank headquarters or Japan's Kansai airport might never have been built, were it not for the close collaboration and exchange of ideas between the respective architects, and engineers of Ove Arup & Partners (OAP). Many of the projects shown in this article are multi-disciplinary commissions involving the skills of numerous technically diverse but like-minded Arup groups. The architectural projects of Hong Kong buildings designed and constructed by the architects and engineers of OAP are also introduced. It further gives a more detailed introduction in OAP's projects on Festival Walk, the Hong Kong Ferry Pier Front development and the Kowloon Station renovation and extension. |
