| Abstract | In the 1970s the British consulting firm Ove Arup and Partners, which had been designing Hong Kong projects since the previous decade, sent out a team of engineers to work on a Hong Kong landmark which was then the tallest building in Asia -- the 215m high Hopewell Centre. Involvement in the project led to the establishment of a local office in late 1976. |
