| Abstract | It all began on 4th April 1951 when a state bank was established by Emergency Law and entrusted with the task of assisting the government in the development of the nation and advancement of the plantation, industrial and mining sectors in particular. It was named Bank Industri Negara (BIN-State Industrial Bank). The activities of Hong Kong Branch focus on investment and working capital loans, small-scale business loans, trade finance, forex, participation in syndication, certificate of deposit, inter-bank lending, customer deposit, and lending support to Head Office to achieve common objectives. |
