| Abstract | Despite the serious effects of the floods and drought that struck many parts of China in the summer of 1994, lastest reports indicate the country will still reap a good harvest. It is because the central government has asked local governments at all levels to help farmers in flooded areas to replant whatever crops possible. It also urged all areas to manage the standing crops with great care and strive for a good autumn harvest. |
