| Abstract | The Retail Management Association has forecast that up to 1,000 retail shops might close down after the Lunar New Year because of poor sales and high rentals. Association chairman Rodney Miles warned that high rents and low or negative retail growth have been squeezing many retailers and that this trend would have serious long-term repercussions on the industry. |
