| Abstract | Many foreign dignitaries have visited China this year in 1995, leading Japan's Asahi Shimbun to comment in a recent article that China "is making all efforts to carry out its all-round diplomacy" and "strengthening the trustful relations with various countries." China indeed seems to have picked up the pace of diplomatic initiatives this year. This has been shown on two fronts: more foreign leaders and high-ranking officials are coming to Beijing and Chinese leaders and high-ranking officials are paying more overseas visits. |
