| Abstract | The first paper on a science park for Hong Kong was presented nine years ago at a symposium on "The Role of High-Tech in Hong Kong's Industrial Development" organized by the Society of Hong Kong Scholars. However, not until early 1992 was the government decisive enough to deviate from its positive non-intervention policy to commission a consultancy study on the feasibility of setting up a science park in Hong Kong. Alas, it look almost another four more years for the Stage 2 Consultancy Report to be presented. |
