| Abstract | There are many benefits that can be derived from the establishment of a science park. They include: increasing research and consultancy activities at higher educational institutes through industrial funding and involvement; stimulating technology transfer from HEIs to industry; placement ofr undergraduate project students as well as graduate employment; adjunct professor appointments of industrial personnel and short-term industrial attachment of academics - broadening the spectrum of our current staff expertise, as well as helping to inject the newest researach ideas. |
