| Abstract | The Education Commission is in favour of language proficiency. Aren't we all? It is in favour, in fact, of language proficiency of all kinds and in all places. The commission seeks improvements in both Chinese and English. By Chinese it means all forms of Chinese. English, presumably, ditto. Now there are some serious problems of details here and the most interesting ones, at least to this foreigner, come on the Chinese side. |
