| Abstract | Engineers are as environmentally conscious as anyone, perhaps because so many engineers work out of doors where they engages in activities that may affect the environment. But deterioration of the environment is not the price of progress. Engineers are uniquely positioned to protect the environment and to restore it to as pleasing and natural a state as possible even as they do their work. |
