| Abstract | Food safety is an important public health issue. The Department of Health through its Hygiene Division is responsible for ensuring food safety throughout the territory. Complementary environmental hygiene enforcement actions are provided by the Urban Services Department and Regional Services Department. Policy issues on food safety are discussed at the Hygiene Services Committee chaired by the Director of Health and with represenatives from relevant departments as well as from the Municipal Councils. |
