| Abstract | Down's Syndrome (Trisomy 21) is one of the commonest cause of severe mental retardation. It is the third most common cause of fetal anomally in our local population, with congenital heart disease and thalassaemia being the first and second respectively. Approximately 67 Down's babies are born each year in Hong Kong, based on an incidence of 1 per 1,114 births and an annual births of 75,000. |
