| Abstract | Will Hongkong people enjoy the same access to the world after 1997? Until now, Hongkong travellers have enjoyed freedoms which reflect the territory's links with Britain - the British have a freedom of travel envied the world over. The fears are that after the handover, many countries will treat Hongkongers little differently to travellers from the mainland, forcing them to face visa requirements where free entry was once possible. |
