| Abstract | The new trend is that younger consumers are keen to wear a natural fibre in new styles at affordable prices. Most of this demand is met by "sandwashed" silks. These garments are almost exclusively imported from Hong Kong and China. There appears to be significant growth opportunities for Hong Kong in the European silk market. |
