| Abstract | The rise in prominence of "green" issues should concern all Hong Kong exporters, as it could affect their ability to compete in European markets. Implications could vary from damage to a brand's image, through to complete loss of a market. The key point is that this issue is market led. Companies are adopting a green positioning to ensure that stated company commitment to the environment meets consumer demand. Legislation typically follows the market's lead and "voluntary" schemes. |
