| Abstract | In Hong Kong, about six to seven thousand new cases of tuberculosis are notified each year. Despite numerous advances in medicine and improvements of socio-economical conditions in recent years, tuberculosis remains a serious infectious disease in Hong Kong. This paper presents the epidemiopogy of the disease and the current Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) immunization programme. |
