| Abstract | Countries in Asia have been seemingly spared of HIV infection in the early 1980s. Yet, the epidemic is gaining momentum in this part of the world. An estimated 1 million people have been infected in Asia and up to 0.4 million are from Thailand. This article will present the surveillance, epidemiology and the strategy for the control of HIV infection in Hong Kong. |
