Abstract | Present study compares various structural and organizational features of kindergartens and nurseries in Hong Kong. 68 preschool heads responded to questions about aspects of their preschool in an interview session. Findings reveal distinct differences between the two types of preschool, particularly with regard to the type of programme offered, length of operation, fees, ancillary services, preschool-home contacts, enrolment, number of classes, class size, teacher training, and experience. |
