Abstract | Sun Energy Travel Services Limited burst onto Hong Kong's travel scene in April 1999, untraditionally targeting the younger set. Anki Chiu, Managing Director, recounted in the article Sun Energy's bold entry into the highly competitive travel market against a backdrop of economic slowdown. Chiu discussed the many variables that had to be considered during the pre-launch period. Particularly challenging, she said, was the positioning of the new company as an attractive option for the younger set.
