| Abstract | A 61-year-old lady who had a known history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, old cerebral infarcts and epilepsy. She was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital in February 2000 after a fall which resulted in fracture neck of femur. In ward she was witnessed to suffer from cardiac arrest. External electrical defibrillation with 200 Joules successfully resumed her vital signs. The article talks about the ECG abnormalities, and discusses the underlying cause for her cardiac arrest. |
