| Abstract | The article features that the Mainland's major ports handled a total of 4.82 million international TEUs, which was up 67.2 per cent. Judging by the growth momentum, the number of international TEUs handled by Chinese ports in 2000 is expected to exceed 20 million, say analysts. Shanghai is on course to overtake Long Beach as the world's sixth-largest container port in 2000. |
