| Abstract | Cindy Moy, Chinese immigrants to the United States (U.S.), is suffering from leukemia, a cancer of the bone marrow, where the body's blood cells are manufactured. Her family and supporters had taken her plight to the Internet in order to search for a person with matching bone marrow. The article describes the process from searching for a donor with a blood sample to testing of each blood sample, and how the matching bone marrow can be used to save the life of a patient suffering from leukemia. |
