| Abstract | Staff at seven polling stations in North District and Yuen Long have been praised for their extraordinary efforts during heavy rainstorms and flooding on election day, 24 May 1998. The Chairman of the Electoral Affairs Commission, Mr Justice Woo Kwok-hing, thanked the presiding officers and staff for their special efforts to keep the polling stations opened during such trying conditions. |
