| Abstract | The article points out that bandwidth and capacity of networks have become a hot topic again with continuous decrease of technology cost, deregulation of the market and explosive growth of data services. Only access networks in between still remain at narrowband. To adapt to this new situation, broadband access technologies show new development status like traditional digital loop carrier technology (DLC). More broadband access technologies and their possible application prospect will be discussed in the article. |
