| Abstract | Since the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government enforced its ban on pets in public housing many private estates have followed suit. This has made it very difficult to find homes for unwanted animals and the recent economic downturn has made the situation even worse. The article features the greater effort the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong) (SPCA) made and the support of friends in the Hong Kong media who responded to their plight. |
