| Abstract | RSPCA statistics for 1995 show a drop of 18.6 per cent in the number of animals homed and a 12.9 per cent increase in the number of animals surrendered. On paper these are just numbers. To the animals in our homing kennels they are a matter of life and death. It is hoped that the launch in the media of the society's latest drive to find homes will go some way to reversing the dual trends of rising numbers of unwanted animals and the fall in the number of good homes. |
