| Abstract | In response to the increasing awareness of environmental issues in relation to building projects, building environmental assessment medthod is developed by building developers to self regulate the environmental impacts of the buildings in Hong Kong. This method does not intend to take the place of the conventional or functional criteria of design. The classical noise control criteria are reviewed. A set of assessment criteria is detemined for the outdoor and indoor noise environment respectively, both during construction and post occupancy. The article discusses the rational of the choice. |
