| Abstract | In the past, Tung Chung was more or less the end of the world -- a cluster of houses and a small stone fort, hemmed in by mountains, accessible by single track road and looking north across a sheltered bay to the island of Chek Lap Kok. Today, Tung Chung is changing, along with Chek Lap Kok, with a radical development plan. The article traces the development of Tung Chung. |
