| Abstract | Shanghai Online has migrated from a primary, relative small-scale network with one network and five databases to a large-scale, advanced IP network with over 180 databases and 50,000 registered subscribers since the trial operation on September 22, 1996. Over ten million visits are recorded. The article reviews the set up of Shanghai Online, outlines the present situation of the network and features the strategy of Shanghai Online. |
