| Abstract | The Hong Kong tourism industry has welcomed prospects of having a Disneyland at its doorstep as a tourist magnet. Hong Kong and Walt Disney Company are in advanced talks, and will decide by June 30, 1999 whether to proceed with the theme park. According to the Hong Kong Tourist Association, the Disneyland in Hong Kong could attract an initial attendance of about five million local and overseas visitors, rising to about 10 million after five years and ultimately to around 20 million. |
